Summer Bridge Program & Summer Institute

tnAchieves offers two exciting Summer Programs for graduating high school seniors! Both summer programs are FREE and offer a great opportunity for you to get a head start on your college degree. You can learn more about each program below!

 

The tnAchieves Summer Bridge Program is a FREE, 14-day program designed to help incoming college freshman start at a more college-ready level, both academically and socially!

Summer Bridge Programs are offered on community college campuses across the state! Throughout the program, students participate in reading, math, and English instruction daily taught by college professors. The courses equip students with the knowledge needed to be a successful college student. At the end of the program, students have the opportunity to test into college-level courses based on ACT scores – saving up to a year of college courses! The deadline to register is May 10, 2024.

The tnAchieves Summer Institute is a FREE, six-week program that allows students to get a head start toward a college degree!

Taking place at Southwest Tennessee Community College's Whitehaven Center, Summer Institute provides students with the opportunity to take 6 college courses and start college with 9 credit hours toward a degree. Through free tutoring services, faculty mentorship and small, supported classrooms, Summer Institute has a 96% success rate. If you are interested in starting college ahead of your classmates, register by May 3, 2024!
