If you plan to transfer to a four-year university after you earn your associate degree, we can help! To help you get started, we have created a transfer checklist that outlines the general requirements for transferring to a four-year university.
Please note that each institution has its own specific deadlines and requirements. It is critical that you are working closely with your institution and your tnAchieves Transfer Coach to ensure you are on track.
tnAchieves Transfer Student Checklist

Meet with your current college advisor to review class credits and TN Transfer Pathway.

Complete applications to the 4-year universities where you would like to transfer.

Submit unofficial transcript from your community college to your intended 4-year university.

Submit 2022-2023 FAFSA by March 1, 2022*.

Apply for scholarships.

Submit official transcript from your community college to your intended 4-year university.

Submit all documents for admissions and financial aid to your intended 4-year university.

Review admission decisions and financial aid award packages.

Accept offer and confirm enrollment.

Once admitted, sign up for orientation if applicable.

Register for classes with your advisor at your 4-year university.
*This deadline has been extended from February 1 to March 1 due to ongoing weather related school closures and the continuing COVID-19 surge.
