Mandatory TN Promise Meetings provide the opportunity to get to know your tnAchieves volunteer mentor and learn more about your TN Promise scholarship requirements. The mandatory meetings give you a head start on your journey to college!
Meeting Cancellation Policy
Should a school district in a county close for any reason, tnAchieves will cancel all meetings in that county and reschedule the meetings to a later date. In the event of a closure, tnAchieves will notify high school partners, students, parents and mentors of any cancellations and rescheduled dates as soon as possible. Students are expected to attend their rescheduled Mandatory TN Promise Meeting!
Student Excuse Form Policy
If you have a conflict with your assigned mandatory meeting date and/or time that will prevent you from attending, you will be required to submit an excuse form through tnAchieves. You can access the tnAchieves meeting excuse form here!
Please see below for step-by-step instructions on how to complete the excuse form process:
- Review our excuse form policy for a list of acceptable reasons to be excused from your assigned meeting. Your excuse reason must fall within the accepted categories listed in our policy to be approved to miss your mandatory meeting. If your reason does not fall within these categories, you will be required to make arrangements to attend your assigned mandatory meeting.
- You are responsible for notifying tnAchieves before or following your mandatory meeting via the excuse form provided at tnAchieves.org. Failure to meet this requirement, even with a valid excuse, may result in the loss of your TN Promise eligibility.

- After submitting your excuse form, you will receive follow-up communication from tnAchieves via email. This communication will let you know whether your excuse form has been approved and will outline your next steps.
- If your excuse form is approved, you will be required to view a mandatory webinar provided by tnAchieves. This webinar will be sent to you via email on February 7, 2024 and you will be required to view the webinar by April 15, 2024 to remain eligible for the scholarship.
Mandatory TN Promise Meeting Details
Below you will find all mandatory TN Promise meetings throughout Tennessee. Your mandatory meeting assignment is based on the high school that you listed on your TN Promise application. To determine your Mandatory TN Promise Meeting details, please find your county, your high school and then look in the "Meeting Location" and "Meeting Details" column.
Public school applicants: You are required to attend the mandatory meeting for your county then high school.
Private/Alternative/Homeschool/GED/Virtual school applicants (any school not listed below): If you do not see your specific high school name listed in the “High Schools” column below, you have likely been assigned to attend the mandatory meeting in the county in which you live. However, this does vary by high school so please reach out if you have any questions! You can find exact meeting details by searching for your county in the “County” column followed by the meeting listed as “Private/Homeschool” in the “High Schools” column.
