The tnAchieves Content Manager tells the story of Tennessee students through content that reaches students, families, mentors, counselors, college partners, employers and donors statewide.
The role has three main areas: owning tnAchieves' social media (content, calendar, publishing across all channels), managing scheduling and logistics for the At Scale podcast, and building/editing documents in InDesign, Word and PowerPoint alongside the Chief Content Officer.
The work is fast-paced and deadline-driven. A typical week might include scheduling a week of social posts, podcast editing, chart-building, and proofing. tnAchieves needs someone who can execute independently. Accuracy and follow-through matter, since every piece (from legislative one-pagers to student emails) has a specific audience and no room for outdated info.

This is a writing-intensive role for someone who can take complex programs, data and ideas and shape them into a clear, cohesive and persuasive story. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and editor who is highly organized, attentive to detail and able to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders without losing sight of the larger goal. This person should understand, or be prepared to quickly develop a strong understanding of, tnAchieves, Tennessee's higher education landscape and the national philanthropic organizations investing in college access, completion, workforce development and economic mobility. The coach role offers a unique opportunity to connect with many stakeholders in education and to utilize skills like public speaking, time management, and database management and reporting (Salesforce).
Each coach works with an average cohort size of 400 students. Coaches support their students by serving as a trusted accountability partner, connecting them with resources and grant opportunities that align with their needs and help students navigate the journey to their future career.

Starting base salary is $50,000 with full compensation package (benefits and PTO) totaling $65,000.

Communicates daily with students and parents
Prepares high school student meeting materials and execute assigned mandatory meetings for TN Promise
Conducts one-on-one and group meetings on college campuses
Maintains student database including, but not limited to, community service verification, student meeting attendance, intervention, connection and grant documentation and processing student excuse forms and ineligibility arguments
Assists with planning, application processing and administering tnAchieves Summer Programs
Attends individual and team meetings as scheduled by direct supervisor and leadership

Bachelor’s degree required
Consistently practices positivity and adaptability
Identifies and analyzes problems through a solutions-oriented lens
Embraces learning new skills and asks questions to gain full understanding
Communicates proactively and effectively
Takes initiative and is prepared
Willingness to travel regionally on a weekly basis
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Suite and Salesforce

Meets benchmark and semester goals
Maintains relationships with frontline college staff
Participates in all tnAchieves college access/success efforts (TN Promise app, FAFSA, mandatory meetings, community service, summer programs, etc.)
Practices prompt and accurate internal and external correspondence
Processes COMPLETE Grants with timely attention to detail
