Pellissippi TN Promise students are required to meet with an advisor before registering for summer classes. Listed below are two sets of instructions on how to meet with your advisor online!
Instructions to sign up for an advising appointment through the Navigate Student mobile app:
1- Be sure you have downloaded the app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play.
2- Search For Institution: Pellissippi State Community College
3- Login will be the same as MyPellissippi
4- Tap on the “Appointments” icon. Top row, middle
5- At the bottom in the blue bar select “Schedule an Appointment”.
6- “What type of appointment would you like to schedule?” Tap “select”
7- Check “Advising” then “Answer Next Question” at the bottom in the blue bar
8- Select “General/Transfer” then “Answer Next Question”
9- Select “Advising – General” then “Done for Reason” at the bottom in blue.
10- “Continue to Next Step” at the bottom in blue
11- Tap on “Select” next to “What location do you prefer”. Online is currently the only location available. Then tap on “Answer Next Question” at the bottom in blue
12- Select your advisor's name, then tap “Done for Location and Staff” at the bottom in blue. Then, “Continue to Next Step”.
13- Select a date and time that works best for you.
Instructions to sign up for an advising appointment through your MyPellissippi:
1-Log into your MyPellissippi. Once you have logged into your MyPellissippi you will see a box on the left side that says “Online Services”. There will then be a link in that box that says “Navigate”. Click on that link and then click on the link that says “Login with your school account” (the log in will be the same as your MyPellissippi.
2- Once you are in Navigate, click on Appointments and then click on Schedule an Appointment at the bottom in the blue bar. Click on select next to “what type of appointment would you like to schedule?” and then click on “Advising” and click on “Answer Next Question” at the bottom in the blue bar.
3-Then choose “General/Transfer” and click on “Answer Next Question”. Choose “Advising – General” and click on “Done for Reason”.
4- Click on “Continue to Next Step”. Click on “select” next to “what location do you prefer” and you will choose the campus you would like to come to (Online is only option currently). Then click answer next question.
5- Your advisor's name should appear, then click on “done for Location and Staff” and then click on “continue to next step”.
6- Select a date and time that works best for you.
Once FAFSAs are submitted to Pellissippi State, Banner automatically generates verification requirements for students. An automated email is then sent out to the student notifying them of the requirements and instructing them to log into their myPellissippi account. Email reminders are sent to students every month until June, then every two weeks from that point forward. Students can access online forms, messages and all of their requirements on their myPellissippi account, which they can access within 24-48 hours of applying to the school. The most common documentation that students struggle to submit are tax transcripts that students have to obtain through the IRS (Wage transcripts, W-2s, etc.).
